By using any service provided by Compass Freight JA, the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. By proceeding with our services, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full. Continued use of our services constitutes ongoing acceptance.
Compass Freight JA provides courier and logistics services, including but not limited to:
Shipping services from the USA to Jamaica
Air and/or sea freight shipping where available
Online shopping assistance and purchasing support
Package handling and warehouse processing
Pickup services in Santa Cruz
Delivery via Knutsford Express for islandwide distribution
Customer loyalty rewards and referral incentive programs
Compass Freight JA reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at its discretion without prior notice.
Shipping schedules are estimates only and may vary due to airline schedules, customs clearance, weather conditions, inspections, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
Compass Freight JA offers:
Package pickup in Santa Cruz
Islandwide delivery via Knutsford Express courier services
Additional delivery options may be arranged at the customer’s expense.
All shipments are transported at the customer’s risk.
Compass Freight JA assumes limited liability for loss, damage, delays, or shipment errors.
Responsibility begins once packages are received by our warehouse or representatives and ends when packages are:
Delivered to the customer
Transferred to Knutsford Express or another delivery partner
Handed over to customs or airline/shipping carriers
We are not responsible for:
Vendor or retailer mistakes
Incorrect shipping details provided by customers
Packages lost before reaching our facility
Third-party delivery delays or damages
Compass Freight JA is not responsible for damage caused by insufficient packaging from vendors or senders.
Fragile items such as electronics, glass, liquids, cosmetics, and breakables are shipped entirely at the customer’s risk.
Customers must ensure all items comply with Jamaican and international shipping regulations.
Prohibited items include but are not limited to:
Illegal substances or drugs
Firearms, ammunition, or weapons
Hazardous or explosive materials
Counterfeit goods
Perishable items
Live animals
Cash or negotiable instruments
Any prohibited shipment may be confiscated without refund, and Compass Freight JA assumes no liability.
Customers are fully responsible for customs duties, taxes, and government-related charges.
Compass Freight JA is not responsible for customs delays, inspections, seizures, or additional fees imposed by authorities.
For customers using online shopping assistance:
Full payment must be made in advance
Customers must confirm item details before purchase
Payments are generally non-refundable once processing begins
Compass Freight JA is not responsible for vendor errors, delays, incorrect items, or sizing issues
Refunds or exchanges remain strictly between the customer and the retailer.
Compass Freight JA offers a referral incentive:
The referrer receives $100 credit
The referred customer also receives $100 credit
Rewards activate once the referred customer spends at least $2,950 in shipping services
Rewards are issued as shipping credit unless otherwise stated
Rewards are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash
Compass Freight JA reserves the right to modify or discontinue this program at any time.
Customers earn loyalty points based on spending:
1 point earned per $1 spent
100 points = $3 shipping credit
Points:
Can only be redeemed toward shipping services
Cannot be exchanged for cash
May expire or be adjusted at company discretion
Accepted payment methods may include:
Cash
Bank transfer
Online payment options where available
All payments must be completed before package release or shipment processing. Payments are generally non-refundable once services begin.
All claims must be submitted in writing within 72 hours of package receipt or arrival notification.
Supporting documentation may include:
Invoice copies
Photos of damage
Shipment details
WhatsApp messages alone do not constitute formal claims.
Packages not collected within a reasonable timeframe may incur storage fees.
Uncollected packages may eventually be disposed of, donated, or auctioned to recover costs. Customers remain responsible for outstanding balances.
Compass Freight JA reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting.
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Compass Freight JA and the customer and supersede all prior communications or agreements.
